I&#8217;m getting ready to publish several posts reflecting on my first official week as a new librarian. I was just up at Syracuse University for librarian bootcamp &#8211; a week in residence to kick off my pursuit of the MLIS degree, via the Distance Learning program. It was an intense week, and it gave me a lot to think about. Several of the posts are for a class assignment, for IST511 &#8211; Introduction to Library and Information Professionals. For that class, I&#8217;ll be reflecting on the threads in <em>The Atlas of New Librarianship<\/em>, by Dave Lankes. I&#8217;ll be publishing a slew of posts today, but you probably won&#8217;t want to read them all today (if at all).
